“With Smartness, Discipline & Resolve---- The Sky is The Limit.”
MPS Tarn-Taran, is being run by Majha Public Educational Managing Society which was founded on 28th Sept, 2006 at Tarn Taran for the opening of a Public School under the patronage of S. Rajbir Singh, Trustee of All India Pingalwara Charitable Society, Amritsar; S. Mehal Singh, Principal, Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Sarhali and S. Sukhbir Singh, Industrialist, Sukhbir Bricks & Tiles Industry, Tarn-Taran with the aim of flocking quality education in rural area.
The region between ‘Raavi and Beas’ river is called “Majha” which means ‘Center’. Thus, Majha Public School (MPS) being located on periphery of one of the Majha region’s city i.e. Tarn Taran is a true epitome of center of quality education. This School is affiliated to central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. We at MPS provide a conducive environment for education of students from Pre-Nursery to Xth standard by keeping in mind the changing global scenario. We also teach following RABINDRA NATH TAGORE’S saying:-- “Don’t limit a child to your own learning, for he was born in another time.”
VISION
To transform dreams into reality of the large human resource available in the country by imparting quality education at affordable price in the areas of technical and professional education and to disseminate knowledge through research and innovation.
MAJHA PUBLIC SCHOOL
We, at MPS believe that along with developing academically strong students, an important goal of education is to teach children to be socially responsible citizens who would learn from the youngest ages how to give their best for the greater cause. Towards this end, we aim to meet not only the physical, emotional and educational needs of children, but their spiritual needs as well.
In addition to this, age-appropriate activities, reading materials, class trips, guest speakers on varied topics of service and civil responsibilities are integral part of a child's education at MPS. The task of developing into good human beings and responsible citizens beyond academic proficiency is more valued here, inspiring every student to participate in SUPW and comunity service programmes.
Our trained and well versed faculty members take the onus of enlightening the students not only by explaining the things but by knocking at the doors of their minds. Teachers at MPS allow the students to develop their creativity, reasoning and skills as mentioned in the report of UNESCO of the International Commission on Education in 1996 entitled ‘Learning: The Treasure Within’ . It emphasized that Education had a treasure within and developed a vision- a necessary ‘utopia’ of education which is based on these four pillars:
- Learning to Know
- Learning to Do
- Learning to Live
- Learning to Be
